CONNECTING WITH OUR BODIES AND HEARTS

This past month, I had the honor to lead a meditation & prayer for a multifaith prayer circle: Prayers for Palestine. May it serve you today in creating space of open-hearted connection & embodied spaciousness.

A meditation, a prayer, an incantation

So we may connect with our bodies and hearts

May this support us in remaining steadfast, courageous, tender, open-hearted and centered in our ancestral embodied wisdoms

To serve our movements for collective freedom and liberation for all beings

​

Close your eyes.

Connect with the stillness in your body.

Allow yourself to arrive in this body.

In the space.

In this time

Take a few deep breaths.

Image the air you are breathing in as medicine

Infused with green light

Filling your whole body

The fabric of your being

Creating new space

Expansive spaciousness

Like the sky

Allowing whatever arises

To be like clouds and weather systems moving through

Everything moving through belongs

And within that skylike space

Notice how your heart feels

A lightness, a tension, a heaviness, an openness, a moment of sweetness…whatever it is

Place your hands to your heart and hold your heart, with love

And keep breathing

Into your heart

Offering gratitude for all that it offers

All that it holds

Its pulsing vibration and life force

And again breathe into your heart

This breath as medicine

Expanding the spaciousness of your heart

​
​

Imagine in your heart

That you hold space of infinite potentiality

That all of us practicing collectively

and that you are not confined by the limitations

Of your mind, your experiences, even your ancestors

But that anything and everything is possible

New worlds are possible

in this time of threshold

Through the infinite wisdom of your

Expanding heart space

Connected to the heart space

Of everyone here

And of the universe

May we be guided by this expansive collective heart space

In our solidarity with Palestine

In all of our movements for collective liberation

May Palestine be free

May all beings everywhere be free
