QUOTE

"My body is moving...changing...this breath is coming in and going out...changing. I am breathing in new air, changing, I am breathing out old air, changing. I am part of this universe. This air is part of this universe. With each breath, the universe changes...With each exhale, the old me dies. With each inhale, a new me is born. Becoming, renewing, dying, rebirth, change"

GUIDING REFLECTION

How are you experiencing the transformations happening in your body, spirit, life & communities right now?

How do you remain present with & connected to the ever-changing experience of being alive?

A RITUAL for TRANSFORMATION

Reflections

Ground yourself in sacred space.

Take a moment to write.

I am transforming / transitioning into…

I am grieving…

I am welcoming in…

**

An offering / prayer to my being..

Blessings

Fill up a small bowl of water.

Offer herbs or flower petals to the water with care and gratitude.

Offer your intention or prayer into the water.

Pour the water over your head (after a shower if supportive) and allow the blessings to wash over you and support your journey.

a reminder: taking care of our being is an essential part of taking care of our communities, ancestors and earth.

MY JOURNEY

‘My journey’ shares some of my practice creating sacred space in my everyday life. In sharing aspects of my intimate, inner world, my hope is to support you in connecting with the vulnerable, sometimes hidden spaces within your own being.

**

My experience of motherhood is a process of constant renewal, surrender, and being alive to the sacred river of aliveness, of transformation & flow.

Both the mundane and epic transitions of motherhood continue to teach me about the practice of presence and loving fiercely, all the while surrendering and letting go. It also reminds me how to be present for someone else's transformations with an open heart and care, not boxing them into who they were, based on my needs.

We are ever-changing. Our world is ever-changing. When I am attuned to this impermanence - it can feel tender, fragile, painful, beautiful and always grounds me in the preciousness of this very moment.

We hold onto moments, beliefs, patterns, careers, relationships, identities - but in reality - this is all in flux - just like a growing child.

We belong to the universe and its kaleidoscope of shifting geometries. Sometimes I forget to pay attention: I come back to ritual, nature, meditation & healing community to bring me home.

I practice and say to myself:

Take a breath.

Feel your heart.

Listen to your body.

Open.

Treat yourself with kindness and tenderness.

Letting go isn’t easy, give yourself time to release your attachments to what was.

Know that resistance to change is part of the process.

Open your heart to that resistance and give it the space it needs.

Know that overwhelm can be part of the process.

Listen to the wind in the trees.

Practice rituals to support transformation.

Make sure to get some rest and quiet time. This will support the embodied process of constant renewal and release of being human.

This helps me feel more restful with whatever it is I am moving through. I respond & make choices with greater intuition, creativity and trust. From the most intimate personal moments, to how I am engaging with the larger societal and planetary shifts. Perhaps the intimate and planetary are more connected that I even realize. :)

May these words and reflections support you, as you transition in all the small ways we all do each day & as we usher in visions of a new world.

UPDATES

Here are some photos from fall gatherings, rituals and performances: each brought folks together in community, creativity, ritual and sacred connection - to support us in these times of great threshold.

Feel free to reach out if you are interested in organizing collective SacredSpaces for your your organization, your community space or family. I am here to support! (Still getting the SacredSpace website together - which will share more specific offerings)
